_Lead Environment Artist

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the most exciting game studios, using leading technology to create new genre-defining games, within our collaborative Action RPG team, built with Unreal Engine 5.

WHAT IS THE JOB ABOUT?

As Lead Environment Artist, you will be responsible for managing a team of Environment Artists and producing all types of 3D assets allowing to build game’s scenes while respecting the artistic and technical constraints of the project. In addition, you will contribute to the define the tools and workflow of the 3D artists team.

THAT IS GREAT BUT WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR THE DAY TO DAY?

• Recruit and manage the environment artist team.
• Collaborate with the technical and artistic team to set up the production pipeline.
• Create 3D PBR assets (scuplting, retopoly, UV, texturing, shader)
• Integrate assets into the game engine.
• Work closely with the level design to compose the sets.
• Ensure the follow-up and visual coherence of the elements produced while respecting the artistic direction.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• An expert in real-time 2D/3D production with a great curiosity in new generation techniques and tools.
• Ability to work independently, iterate on feedback, work in a team
• Want to take on new challenges by participating in the development of a new studio and its first game.
• More than 7 years of experience in game development as a Senior Artist or Lead artist.

• Mastery of associated software the production of new generation real-time 3D assets (Soft 3D type Max / Maya / blender, substance painter / designer, etc

• Demonstrated autonomy and responsibility
• Ability to be available, patient, benevolent and inclusive
• Extra: Design or Tech background
• Extra: Experience as a player, and/or a previous role on Action RPG.
• Extra: Experience with Unreal and/or Unity engine.
