Release Manager F/M

NEW TALES is currently seeking a highly motivated, creative and results driven Release Manager F/M.

You will be Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer. As a Release Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the release process of multi-platform games, ensuring compliance with platform requirements, and managing the infrastructure necessary for smooth and successful launches. You will handle everything from build preparation and certification to managing localization, age ratings, and post-launch updates. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that all assets— demos, full titles, DLCs, and other content—are prepared, certified, and released on schedule.

You will also act as a primary point of contact for platform holders, using developer portals to register, certify, and support game releases. This role requires someone who is communicative, detail-oriented, and well-organized, capable of handling the unique challenges associated with simultaneous multi-platform launches.

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        End-to-End Release Management:

o   Oversee the entire release process, from initial build preparation to post-launch support and monitoring.

o   Ensure game builds meet platform certification requirements (e.g., TRC, XR) and handle submissions for age ratings (ESRB, PEGI, etc.).

o   Manage localization processes, QA testing, and validation to ensure compliance with all technical and platform standards.

·        Daily Communication with Platform Holders:

o   Act as the main point of contact with platform holders (e.g., Sony, Microsoft, Steam, Nintendo), using their developer portals to register and submit games for review.

o   Facilitate the certification process, ensuring timely and accurate submissions while coordinating responses and support from platform holders.

·        Cross-Functional Coordination:

o   Collaborate with internal teams (development, QA, marketing) and external partners to develop and execute release schedules, ensuring all assets (demos, DLCs, trailers, etc.) are aligned with the project roadmap.

·        Platform and Store Management:

o   Configure game products on digital store platforms, ensuring that all metadata, pricing, and assets are properly set up ahead of launch.

o   Coordinate build deliveries, store configurations, and post-launch updates (new builds, DLCs, discounts) as needed.

·        Compliance and Documentation:

o   Maintain up-to-date release documentation, including technical requirements, build release procedures, certification dependencies, and notification lists.

o   Ensure compliance with platform guidelines and manage updates to game pages, certifications, and store configurations after release.

o   Contribute to a positive work environment and a healthy team culture.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

·        3+ years of experience in game publishing, release management, or a related technical role with a focus on multi-platform game launches (console and PC).

·        Hands-on experience with platform certification processes (TRCs, TCRs, Lotcheck…) and developer portals (e.g., PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Nintendo…).

·        Familiarity with localization processes and managing age rating certifications (ESRB, PEGI, etc.).

·        Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
